Our Fundraising Events
The Richmond/Ermet AID Foundation raises funds for HIV services, hunger programs, and programs that serve and support homeless youth and families, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area, through the production of quality entertainment events. Currently, REAF produces four primary products: "Help is on the Way," "Help is on the Way for the Holidays", "Broadway Bares/San Francisco Strips," and our "One Night Only" series of performances with the touring casts of Broadway shows appearing in the Bay Area as tour schedules permit. Help is on the Way is Northern California's largest annual AIDS benefit concert event, featuring stars from Broadway, film, television, and the recording industry, as well as the best of Bay Area talent. It is our flagship event and features gala pre-performance wine and hors d'oeuvres receptions, and post-performance champagne and dessert receptions with the cast for sponsors and "Underwriter" level ticket buyers, and extensive silent auctions in addition to the Broadway-quality performance.
Help is on the Way for the Holidays is a San Francisco Bay Area holiday tradition. This event celebrates the holidays of all faiths at this time of year and promotes hope, caring, and compassion through holiday music. It features many top Bay Area as well as internationally acclaimed performers and includes a silent as well as limited live auction and a special wine and dessert reception with the cast for "Underwriter" level ticket buyers and corporate sponsors following the performance.
All You Need is Love: A Help is on the Way Valentine Benefit replaced our holiday gala in 2009 and 2010 and was similar in format but featured a Valentine theme.
Special "One Night Only" cabaret performances with many of the touring casts of Broadway shows appearing in San Francisco are arranged throughout the year as show schedules permit. These performances give the touring casts a break from the music they perform every night during the course of their run with the shows and a chance to perform music of their own choosing. Reviews for these special performances have been outstanding.
Dances from the Heart was an all-dance event featuring dancers from many top Bay Area dance companies in an evening of hope and compassion through dance. This event premiered in 2012 at the Cowell Theater and repeated in 2013 at the Palace of Fine Arts.
